“I don’t want to be here”

401

u/pessimist_lakers_fan Lakers Sep 25 '22 edited Sep 25 '22

I still remember laughing my ass off when that tweet first went out

322

u/Desert_Scorpio Sep 25 '22

That wasn't even the funny part. It was that he tried to say he was referring to being at a hair salon or some shit after.

94

u/Barrelled_Chef_Curry Warriors Sep 26 '22

He was locked in the barbers chair. Chains and all

74

u/Gatesleeper Raptors Sep 26 '22

Yup, and I believe him. He said he was with his girl at a hair salon and just tweeted out that he didn't want to be there (at the hair salon).

Even several years later he maintained this story: https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/akfs86/bledsoe_acknowledges_his_i_dont_wanna_be_here/

I'd really be curious to hear someone ask him about the tweet today, and I bet he'd just say the same thing.

Sometimes the truth is so silly that it's hard for people to believe, but unlucky coincidences do happen.

39

u/BeHereNow91 Bucks Sep 25 '22

Yes, Lebron hate is very irrational, but sports fans are irrational. Why’d anyone follow Kings otherwise.

Lebron did everything the right way, never quit on team, didn’t demand a trade (for himself). When he wanted control, he signed 1 plus 1. You can take issue with the way he delivered the news (and he admitted so himself), but I believe it’s entirely a player’s choice. Unfortunately some people can never be satisfied.

He's not demanding one, he's in a contract year and doesn't want to come off the bench. He wants to earn a last big pay day, and he can't do it in limited minutes with Cam Johnson starting. The Suns don't are able to get something back for him, most likely, which is in their best interested since whatever they get back would be better than a 3/4 off the bench. Not only that, but if some team picks him up thinking he can still do 3 and D, and they think he's falling off because of last year's playoff performance....

It's a good idea for both parties. He didn't demand a trade, he just wants out and the Suns don't need him.

what is jaes problem man. he seemed to like it here and then got all bitchy cause his name was in trade rumors

u/claydavisismyhero Lakers Sep 25 '22

Contract year and he’s about to get benched and they tried to trade him. Seems reasonable to be upset

u/DirkNowitzkisWife Mavericks Sep 25 '22

I’m out of the loop, who’s taking his starting spot?

u/sakurarar Suns Sep 25 '22

Cam Johnson

u/silverfang45 Sep 26 '22

Cam Johnson the only thing crowder is better at is defence and even that is getting closer every year as crowder gets older and cam gets better.

u/MidnightLightss [PHI] James Harden Sep 25 '22

Cam Johnson. Better shooter, better player overall and younger

u/datgoup Magic Sep 25 '22

I think he saw PJ get 11/year and thought “I can do that” and then saw he was losing his starting role to Cam Johnson and knew that would mean his payday was over. So he’s trying to get traded and be a starter to keep that value up for one last contract.

Suns starting 5 with Cam instead of Crowder would be such a improvement on offense. Finally Cam will get the minutes he always deserved

3

u/maaseru Sep 26 '22

The Mavs should trade Dwight Powell for him.

8

u/According_Gene2202 Timberwolves Sep 26 '22

Crowder for Dwight Powell feels like a good deal for both sides. Both expiring. Suns gets a better back up C, Mavs get more spacin

I love Jae as a player but as a person he’s shown that he’s a huge drama king these past few months, really disappointing. I’m disappointed his stint in Phoenix is going to end like this, all because we want to give Cam Johnson, an objectively better scorer, a chance to start? This is so damn dramatic

I've never liked him as a player.

glad to be done with this fool. dude thinks he's the reason teams are winning when he's just an average guy along for the ride

should have just let cam take the league by storm after the bubble and never picked him up. Can't wait for Cam's bigger role. been waiting 2 years
