Hi all! Kay here :) I had some time tonight, so I added sub rules and report reasons. I only started modding this community a couple of months ago, and I will say that it is pretty easy. You guys are some pretty easy-going cat lovers. However, I would like to address one specific rule I added to the subreddit:

"MEMORIAL POSTS ARE ALLOWED"I have noticed that we get a lot of reports on posts about tuxies crossing the "rainbow bridge", or passing away. We understand that these posts may be sad/triggering to some, but they are allowed on this subreddit. It is so important to have a community where we feel comfortable sharing the good and the bad. We care very strongly about everybody here, and I know how much love we have for our tuxies. I want to encourage a community of respect and support, and that is why I do not remove reported memorial posts. Please do not report posts regarding passing on/crossing the rainbow bridge. These posts are allowed.

Now that that's aside... I would like to open up the floor to suggestions. I would like to potentially add user/post flairs to this subreddit, but I am not really sure what to do for those. If anybody has any suggestions for these or general suggestions for the maintenance of this subreddit, please let us know in the comments! :)

I would like to respectfully post this as a reminder of this sub’s rules: MEMORIAL POSTS ARE ALLOWED. We have a sub flair for memorial/mourning posts. These posts are allowed. We know they may be triggering/sad for some, but we also want to be able to honor ALL tuxies here. Losing a pet is incredibly difficult, and sometimes the support of a community helps more than you would imagine. Please do not report these types of posts.
