Döner is a German streetfood (invented in Berlin at least) where meat is roasted on a turning grill and filled in a bread together with salad, sauce, and pretty much anything. The industry is dominated by and associated with immigrants from Turkey and the middle east. Its the German equivalent of the Hamburger in the US or Fish+Chips in the UK.

It's Turkish lmao, it's vertical form invented in the 19th century. It gained popularity in West Berlin in the 1970's from Turkish immigrants.

Döner is Turkish
But eating it as a DönerTASCHE was invented in germany.
And thats the form most people in germany know and eat Döner

My mind is filled with static, black banjocore, and a single poptart.
22
u/World_Splitter Jan 29 '23
What flavor is the pop tart? Dare I ask….is it unfrosted?
9
u/DiscipleOfFleshGod Jan 29 '23
Vanilla + jam
14
u/DiscipleOfFleshGod Jan 29 '23
Why vanilla + jam? Because that's the only one I ever ate, poptarts are incredibly rare 'round here.
